Under the Marcos administration’s banner of unity and reconciliation, the national government is determined to implement all signed peace agreements which include the 1996 Final Peace Agreement (FPA) with the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF).
To realize this goal, the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU) and the Mindanao State University (MSU) System signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on Thursday, July 6, for the implementation of the Transformation Program for the MNLF.
The Transformation Program is anchored on the provisions of the 1996 FPA which put an end to the decades-long armed conflict between the government and the revolutionary group, and brought increased peace, security and stability in the region.
