The Bangsamoro government commenced its history when the Bangsamoro Transition Authority officially held its inauguration on March 29, 2019 at the Shariff Kabunusan Cultural Complex, Bangsamoro Government Center, Cotabto City. It is composed of forty-one (41) members nominated by the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MIFL) and thirty-nine (39) members nominated by the Philippine government, totaling eighty (80) members of the Parliament BTA Members 2019 to 2022.
President Rodrigo Duterte reiterated here Friday his commitment to work for the benefit of the Moro people until the end of his term in 2022.
Speaking during the inaugural session of Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) interim parliament, the President vowed to work for peace in southern Philippines.
