The Bangsamoro Parliament on Thursday passed on third and final reading the Bangsamoro Local Governance Code of 2023 which aims to change the status quo in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), towards a more inclusive and responsive governance framework that pushes forward the right to self-determination aspirations fought for by the Moro liberation fronts in the battlefields and later in the peace negotiations and agreements with the Philippine government.
