Madki Alonto took his oath of office as acting chairman of the Commission on National Integration, at the Malacañang social hall.
After the ceremony, the President lauded the objectives of Republic Act 1888, which created the Commission, in helping in the upliftment of the non-Christian tribes of the country.
The President foresaw a better era for the non-Christian tribes in the country under the Nacionalista administration and promised to continue his policy of educational, cultural, and economic upliftment of the minorities.
