A spokesman for the MNLF denied that members of the group took part in the attack at Ipil. He indicated that the Abu Sayyaf group, the MILF, and members of the breakaway faction of the MNLF were responsible. The MNLF and the government are set to resume peace talks in June in Indonesia (Reuters, 04/06/95).
