President Ramos paid an official visit to Iran. While meeting his Iranian counterpart, Ramos described his government’s efforts to resolve the Muslim problem including the implementation of Sharia Law in the area. He said, “We are endeavoring to resolve the problems of the Muslims in the Moro region peacefully” (BBC, 03/13/95).
