The Philippines will give Indonesia $1 million worth of medicine to help deal with shortages due to the falling rupiah. The aid is in response to Indonesia’s previous help to the Philippines which includes the provision of rice and oil supplies and active mediation to help promote peace with the Moros (Agence France Presse, 02/25/98).
