An MILF-MNLF skirmish is reported in North Cotabato province. The military is drawn in after one of their bases is attacked. Three rebels die as a result. This is the first confrontation between the MILF and government forces since a February 6 deal on preventing future battles (Deutsche Presse-Agentur, 02/14/98).
